We invite teachers of secondary education and other levels to participate in the Toolkit Problem Solving Strategies.
The Toolkit is aimed at developing the participants' ability to discern when selecting and implementing these strategies. The focus is not Problem-Based Learning (PBL), but the strategies themselves, which are feasible to apply in the family, social and academic fields.
In this Toolkit, the term "problem" does not refer exclusively to Mathematics Education, but to all the challenges that we face every day and that are also feasible problems to be solved through the application of certain strategies.
While it is true that the material is more oriented to secondary education, it is possible to adapt it for other levels.
It is advisable that the teacher has access to the Internet. The Toolkit can be downloaded free of charge and can be freely shared. Participation is self-guided and self-paced.
Welcome to the ITEN Toolkit Problem Solving Strategies! We hope these materials address the professional development needs of teachers in the Americas.
Launch Date: January 26, 2018
